Imperial Factions

by arvg » 27 Apr 2010, 01:52

What shape will the Empire evolve into?

At this time-frame there would be the Imperial Warlords, who often fight amongst themselves as much as they did against the New Republic.

Or are we looking at a post-Thrawn era Empire in decline?

It's basically going to be however the Admins/Devs set it out to be. I wouldn't mind the faction backing that it has at the moment ( As in the 18.xx series but weh. )

That said, I would like it to be a united clan, once again.

*Edit*

Sorry, misunderstood what you meant and posted something on a totally different topic.

As far as I know, they chose a timeframe for the mod, which I totally don't remember. My guess is that soon Sushi or another mod team person will come in here and say when it's set.

I think it was around 12 or 14 ABY.

Actually, the timeline was chosen to be set around 12 ABY : http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline

The Imperial Remnants are once again unified, under the command of Pellaeon (who can remain as a NPC character or be replaced by a player, we haven't discussed about that yet). The New Republic as recaptured Coruscant the year before, which explains the number of republican capital ships you'll find around Coruscant.

Also, the Corellian status in ABY is unclear : it doesn't belong to the New Republic yet, but the Empire is loosing control on the system. Hence, an independant Corellian faction can exist.

Maybe we could kick off the release of FW:ToW 2 with a re-enactment of the space battle that resulted from the Assault on the Praexum, followed by the resignation of Daala and the handing over of the Remnant fleets to Pellaeon?

Given how Freeworlds works, Pellaeon will probably be assasinated by someone who wants his wife and Starfighter .

Good

It sets a unified tone, and still has that edge of being a threat.
