I'm not sure how the system works, but I wonder if it would be possible to disable the nifty icons for distant targets after losing the sensors. If it could be done, that would be a kickass way of handling the situation.

Actually, Friendly Fire found a way to do that and we already thought about this idea ;)

I read this, and what is it?
I'm confused what you're talking about, and I'm curious :D

Cropto, just press "Ctrl + R" ingame, you'll understand what he means. It desactivates FF's ship icons, making it almost impossible to spot fighters that are far away. If we are able to make it, we could desactivate it whenever a ship radar dome / dish goes down.

Would be fairly simple for the server to send override commands through Hook when the radar gets blown off.

Definitely possible ;)

Hrm, thats a totally interesting thing. I always belived those to be shield domes due to ROTJ and X-wing. I can see how it got confused due to the editing of the movie.

"Concentrate all firepower on that super star destroyer"

2 A-wings launch concussion missiles at the globe, it goes boom.

Cut to the bridge.

"Sir, we've lost our bridge deflector."

"Intensify forward batteries, I don't want anything to get through."

Spinning a-wing (which, if you dont know...was flying don the "Trehnch" of the SSD class ship, the long city looking construction running down the middle of the SSD, NOT the surface of the DS)

"Intesnfiy forward firing batteries!"

"Too LATE!!!!"

boom.

They dont show at any point, the rebel fleet engaging the SSD Executor to drop its shields. That would leave you to assume that either the explosive blast from the sensor dome, or the concusive blast from 4 missles erupting must have damaged the nearby bridge deflector shield.

Very interesting indeed.
