Finished working on two of a number of Debri textures for use in the explosions of ships.

Hoping the Alpha mapping works out as planned on it as im worried its going to have a super hard edge which would frankly... suck ass!

After long absense I r back and well working on the interface and Debri textures lol.

Put in 8 hours today and the end result is I have managed to get the interface.generic-2.vms and interface.generic-102.vms files decompiled down to bare vertex information in two max files which are on the SVN, for those of you who have no idea what they are, they contain the information which makes up the mesh of the HUD/UI.. hopefully the end result will be newly designed HUD/UI woohoo! :mrgreen:

Heres some screenshots of what come of this mornings and part of yesterday mornings shenaniganz

Interface conversion to customizable HUD/UI

Progress has been going good, finished the Baseside, Hud, Loadsave, multiplayer and textoffer folders today, 35 files so far =]

Time = 20h (past 3 days)

On a more interesting note, Ive been taking screenshots of each one as a reference for myself as to what part of the hud im actually editing. As such, using the UTF model viewer has given me something quite interesting...

If you put yourself in game and go to any of the places to buy things from, wether its the comoodity trader or equipment, that entire interface is littered with hardpoints, all of which can be edited now thanks to the conversion. This could potentially mean an entirely different way to buy stuff in the sense that, things will have moved =]

Heres the picture's from UTF

A good example would be the list on the left, where you select what to buy, I'm wondering we might be able to turn it on its side, or even change its shape. Only experimentation will let us find out =D!

Good times are afoot ^_^
