A Stand-a-lone installer or a FL Mod file

by Teh Critic » 10 Jun 2012, 16:56

I express this as a resuilt of trying NSU Mod for Freelancer. Once I had the mod, I tried to play it, however, the mod broke due to Tides of War mod, being in the FL directory and not a mod Manager. I was wondering if you plan on making a stand-a-lone, like Discovery had done, to avoid cross mod problications with each other. Are you in the process of conducting such programming parameters or thinking of doing so?

The mod already is what you call "stand alone", you just didn't install it in a separate folder like it prompts you to or there's something wrong with the save files/restart.fl. Delete your Freelancer folder in My Games and try again.

You should keep the vanilla freelancer alone and use a copy for FL mod manager. Just change the directory where the manager looks for the Freelancer game to this copy.
