Star Wars: Empire at War

Did you ever heard about this game ?
Its good RTS (Real time strategy) game based on Star Wars.
Always when i see CR 90 in Freeworlds i imagine how i made big group of Corellian corvets and Corellian gunships what could crush any fleet in Star Wars Empire at war.

I play a clone wars mod for Empire at War. Have played this game for almost a decade now and it never gets old :)

Still play Thrawn's Revenge occasionally. Ascendancy is going to be awesome.

I love me some RaW! Can't wait until they get out 1.2. I'm sad z3r0x just kinda disappeared off the face of the earth though

I play Awakening of the Rebellion for EaW and it has been THE best space RTS I could get so far.
Sorry Sins, but compared to EaW you suck.
The exception is Multiplayer, EaW can only be played by two players max in the Galactic Conquest sadly.

I may need to check that mod out Daelin, given that one of the descriptions of that mod says that it comes closer to bringing EAW to the old game Star Wars: Rebellion (or Star Wars:Supremacy when it was released in Europe because apparently the British are still butthurt about the American Colonie's Rebellion over 200 years ago?).

Biggest curiosity would be if it is able to get past the 25 ship point limit and the stupid head stuck in a 1 meter square box issue. That last one is my biggest gripe about EAW. The battles in Rebellion look like crap(for todays standards) but you could have a Death Star MkII, 2 SSDs, 20 ISDs and a host of smaller ships with fighters to go along with them too. You could even have more than one Death Star provided you had the logistics to support it! The ground combat was simulated (which EAW does have over it) but the agent and player missions were much better (sabotage, assassination, subversion and spying) and they were not just special combat ships or ground units.

Look at that link, Rebellion is 5.99 US on GOG.com! (I still have my original disk and manuals including the Prima strategy guide!)

The shiplimit in AotR (Awekening of the Rebllion) is 60 points.
With an ISD accounting for 6 points, so 10 ISDs max.

(head stuck in a meter square box?)

There is only galactic conquest, but who wants to play anything else anyway?

I played Rebellion a little, but it's REALLY taking long ;-)
And the space battles got me confused a little.
