The New Republic has made a bold attempt on the Imperial Remnant. A team of spies has garnered some support in BSY, taking off with the newly constructed Sentinel!
Unfortunately, it appears pre-flight checks had not been completed, and the Sentinel is now stuck in Borleias with Hyperdrive issues!
The New Republic has been alerted, and are attempting to scramble a Frigate/Carrier, plus fighter escort, to deliver the necessary supplies to make the repairs, and bring the ship to their expert in Kuat. Unfortunately, the commotion has increased the chances of a visit from the oppressive Imperials.
The Galactic Empire, hot on the tails of the traitors, has received a call from Imperial Intelligence, alerting them at the attempts of the Sentinel to flee the system. They have two choices, destroy the vessel they worked so hard to build, or destroy every ship that attempts to secure it for the blasted rebels.
For each side, this ship proves a vital target. A target of opportunity. For the Empire, another way to trap the rebels in. To starve them out. For the Republic, a chance to halt Imperial vessels, to protect civilian interests. Neither can allow the other to gain control of this mighty vessel.
Event Details, ooRP
So, you're probably wondering, "what exactly is this Joe?"
This is the first of (I hope) many Admin hosted events, designed to promote RP, and to give some more interest to interactions in the Freeworlds universe. This is a simple "crippled capital ship" scenario. A bunch of supplies, in this case astromech droids or something similar, must be transported to the target vessel. If completed, the target vessel will make it's jump, severely decreasing the chances of the attacking forces (the Imperials) success. The Sentinel, an Immobilizer-418 will be sitting in Borleias. The fight will take place near it, and it will be up to the forces involved to decide what happens to the Immobilizer. If the Immobilizer reaches the system of Kuat, that will count as an NR win.

The Part I'm sure everyone has been waiting for. The rewards have been approved by DarkForce.
1 million credits to each participant, OR Ship awarded to winning faction (To be decided at my discretion. My decision is final)
1 million credits to each participant, OR 20 million credits to faction bank (To be decided at my discretion. My decision is final)
I will be adapting the rules ever so slightly for the duration of the event. Any ships that participate in the event are subject to these rules and regulations, and any breaches will result in sanctions however I deem necessary.
-There is one Capital slot for each faction. This is restricted to either a Frigate, or a Carrier. To be decided before the event by the faction. Increased interest will see additional slots open up.
-The Capital ship respawn timer will be waived for this event. Any cap ship deaths in this will not count.
-Fighter respawns are allowed, but only from their factions present cap.
-Capital ships may not re-log to rejoin the fight.
-RP is required. Failure to do so may result in the event being cut short.
-ooRP messages should be kept to a minimum in system chat. If you absolutely must say something, you should open your message with "//"
This is still a work in progress, and the outcome of this event will decide on how future events are handled. This is very much a taster session, so feedback will be highly appreciated. If you have any questions, please raise them here. I'll try to cover them all, and any changes will be made clear in this thread.
This event is NOT restricted to the factions only. Anyone is welcome to make themselves an X-Wing/TIE/ln and join us. The more the merrier!
ADDED 15/12/2016: Discussed options available with Volume_9, have agreed to permit the NR access to a carrier for the duration of the event. Rules are: to be created prior to event start. Once event is complete, the ship is to be deleted immediately. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in sanctions of my choosing.
Didn't clarify this before, and I've heard concerns about the cap. At the moment, that cap (in this case the immobilizer) will remain the property of the side it's awarded to (in this case the NR). I reserve the right to adjust this at any point prior to, during, or after the event, should myself, or other members of the Administration/Development teams see concerns with its implementation.
THIS EVENT WILL OCCUR ON THE 18TH DECEMBER 2016, AT 1800 GMT
